Twelve timeline layouts, each built twice: 16:9 for slides and A4 portrait for printed reports. Linear runs, zig-zags, phase blocks, two Gantt charts, a repeating cycle, a customer journey and a company history – with Completed, In progress and Upcoming color-coded throughout. Five colorways plus a print set, editable in free Canva.
Who it is for
Project managers, agencies and consultants who present a schedule to a client one day and paste it into a written report the next – and founders putting a company history in an About page or a deck.
Why this set and not a single page
Both orientations, and not by stretching one. A timeline runs along the page’s long axis, so the same layout is horizontal on a 16:9 slide and vertical down an A4 page. That is two drawings, not a resize – which is why a set built only for slides looks wrong the moment it goes into a written report.
The step counts you actually need, already drawn. Four, six and eight milestones; five and seven stages. A set drawn with four steps is useless to someone with six, and adding a box by hand is what pulls the connectors apart. Pick the one that already matches instead.
Completed, In progress, Upcoming – color-coded. Filled, outlined and hollow, applied to dots, phase blocks and Gantt bars alike, with a key printed on every layout that uses it. The status word is written as well as colored, so it still reads in the black-and-white print set.
Two Gantt charts that show what overlaps. One across a year, one by sprint. Parallel bars on a grid – the only layout that answers ‘what is happening at the same time’, which a row of milestones cannot.
A cycle for the work that repeats. Not every process ends. The circular layout is for a sprint, a review loop or an onboarding that runs again next month.
A customer journey with two lines per step. What the customer is doing, and what you do about it, kept on separate lines. Marketers and HR teams rebuild that table by hand every time.
