Ten posters built round a photo and written out for the jobs a small business and a community actually have: an event, a class, a hiring notice, a sale, a public meeting, a volunteer call, a quote print, a gig, shop rules and a community market — plus two blank layouts (an editorial poster and a photo poster) and two guide pages (type size and reading distance, and a print check). 3600 x 4800 px, which is 18 x 24 in at 200 dpi.
Who it is for
Cafes, studios, trades, nonprofits, schools and anybody putting paper on a wall who has been let down by a template that came out blurry at the print shop.
Why this set and not a single page
A size that prints. 18 x 24 in at 200 dpi. Plenty of poster templates open at a few hundred pixels and print like a photocopy of a photocopy — we say the pixel size on the page so you can check ours.
Built round your photo. Every example has a demo photo: the market stall, the kitchen, the stage. Drag your own picture onto it and it takes the same size and crop. Words never sit on the photo, so they stay readable whatever you drop in.
Type sized for the distance. One rule, stated on the page: feet away = points ÷ 10. A 100 pt headline reads from about 10 ft, 30 pt from 3 ft; the table gives the smallest size for each distance, and the page says how far the set’s own headlines read.
Written out, ten different jobs. A hiring poster with the pay on it, a sale with an end date, a public meeting with the access line, shop rules that a new starter can follow.
Clean graphics, clear of the words. Rules, crop marks, color blocks and big numerals — and a clear gap between every one of them and the text, so nothing prints through the small print.
Bleed already handled. Backgrounds and photos run past the trim and text keeps 3/8 in clear, so a print shop can cut it without eating a word.
A print set for the cheap run. All ten posters and both blank layouts again, with no color fills and the photos in gray — for the fifty copies that go on lamp posts.

Before you buy
- This is a Canva template, not a Word or Adobe file
- A free Canva account is needed to open it
- Nothing is shipped – the link arrives as an instant download
- 200 dpi, not 300 – a 300 dpi poster needs a 75-inch page and PowerPoint stops at 56; 200 dpi is what large-format printers ask for
- The events, prices and businesses on the posters are examples
- Demo photos are AI-generated (FLUX.2 klein, Apache 2.0) and show fictional people and places — placeholders to replace with your own; if you sell on a marketplace with an AI-content rule, disclose them if you keep any
How it works
- Buy, and the PDF downloads straight away – no waiting for a designer, no email to wait for.
- Open the template link inside it and choose Use template.
- Canva copies the whole set into your account. Edit, export, send.
