A project proposal built the way freelancers actually win work: play back the brief, argue the value, price it in three tiers, and draw the line where the work stops. Twelve layouts in five colorways, plus a print-friendly set. Editable in free Canva.
Who it is for
Freelancers, designers, developers, photographers and small studios pitching a single project – the ones who write a good proposal and still lose it on the pricing page.
Why this set and not a single page
It sells the result, not the process. Most proposals describe what you will do. This one runs Current challenge, Proposed strategy, Expected impact – so the client reads what changes for them, and how you will both know it worked. That page is the difference between a $500 job and a $5,000 one.
Three tiers, with the middle one built to be chosen. Essential, Recommended, Complete, laid out the way US buyers expect. Shown one number a client decides yes or no; shown three, they decide which. The recommended column is taller and filled, because that is the one you want picked.
A boundaries page that gives ‘not included’ equal weight. Two columns, side by side, with the number of revision rounds written as a number and a plain definition of what one round means. Scope creep starts where a proposal went quiet.
Every page shows the shape of the deal. The band down the left is the proportion: on Scope it is effort, on Timeline it is weeks, on Investment it is money. The client sees where the fee actually goes before reading a word.
It ends by telling them what to do. Three numbered steps, a signature block, and a page that says what happens once it is signed. Plus a one-page version for the deal already agreed on the call, and a print-friendly page with no color fills for the copy that gets signed and scanned.
Written out with a real example. The demo is a full brand identity proposal for a coffee roaster, priced and argued end to end – not Lorem Ipsum. You can see how the argument is supposed to run before you replace it with your own.
