Why this set and not a single page
Postcard size, on purpose. A save the date is the only wedding card that can go without an envelope. 6 x 4 in sits inside the US postcard maximum, so it travels at the postcard rate.
What breaks the cheap rate. Thickness over 0.016 in, magnets, square or die-cut shapes. One page lists them, so you find out before the print run.
An address side that posts. Return address, stamp box, the address block on the right and the bottom strip left clear for the sorting machine.
A calendar you can read. A real month grid with the day marked – the card people photograph and put on the fridge.
The change-the-date card. Days move. Nobody sells the card that says so; this set has one, with the old date struck through.
What a save the date commits you to. Everyone who gets one has to get an invitation. The timing page says so, along with how far ahead to post.
