Twelve 5 x 7 invitations: the wedding suite that works together – invitation, details card and a reply card that comes back with meal counts on it – plus save the date, birthdays, a baby shower, a graduation, dinner at home and a corporate evening. Two pages carry what goes wrong: envelopes and postage, and when to post what.
Who it is for
Anyone inviting people to something that needs a count: weddings, birthdays, showers, graduations and company events.
Why this set and not a single page
Three pieces of paper that agree. The invitation says the date, the details card says how to get there and what to wear, the reply card says when to answer. Most sets sell you the first one alone.
A reply card that returns information. Seats reserved, a count against each dinner, allergies and the deadline printed on it – so the caterer gets numbers, not a pile of yes.
The reply deadline is arithmetic. Caterers want a number seven to ten days ahead and about one guest in five replies late, so the date on the card sits three to four weeks before the day.
The post office page. A 5 x 7 card travels as a letter, a square envelope costs extra, over an ounce is another stamp, and wax seals need hand-canceling. Better to know before eighty of them.
Not only weddings. A kids’ party with the end time and the allergy line, a graduation open house, dinner for six, and a company evening with an agenda and the parking.
Printed at the size stationery is printed. 5 x 7 in at 300 dpi, the A7 envelope size, background past the trim for bleed.
